About Ralf Haller

Ralf Haller is a technology entrepreneur, strategist, and author with more than three decades of experience in the global high-tech industry.

He has lived and worked in Europe, Silicon Valley, and Asia, holding leadership positions across telecommunications, networking, enterprise software, artificial intelligence, data science, and digital platforms.

Throughout his career he has worked with startups, scale-ups, multinational corporations, investors, researchers, and government organizations.

His professional journey spans some of the most important technology waves of the past thirty years—from networking and the internet to cloud computing, data platforms, and artificial intelligence.

Ralf holds master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Data Science and has spent much of his career exploring the intersection of technology, business, andsociety.

He is also the founder of High-Tech Connect, a non-profit initiative that brings together leaders from technology, business, academia, and government to discuss the future of technology and innovation.

He lives near Zürich, surrounded by nature and protected landscapes. During the winter months he spends time in warmer climates. His dog ensures he gets plenty of exercise by insisting on several walks every day.

Why I Write

Technology is often discussed in terms of products, companies, and financial markets.

But the most interesting questions are often human.

Who makes decisions?

Who benefits?

Who bears the risks?

How do societies adapt when technological change accelerates?

Fiction provides a unique way to explore these questions.
